JAVA (J2EE) WEB DEVELOPMENT with JBOSS

SUMMARY:   The Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) provides a mechanism for building enterprise applications in Java. This course covers the key technologies of the J2EE platform; Servlets and JavaServer Pages (JSP) for presenting information via a web-based interface; Enterprise JavaBeans for accessing legacy data in a secure and transactional manner, and Java Messaging Systems to provide open gateways to other applications.

J2EE Web Development is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and deploy enterprise-level distributed applications.

This course defines a Toolbox for developing enterprise distributed applications. You will learn how to build Servlet and JSPs, and EJBs to build large-scale solutions to business problems.

This course focuses on the J2EE technologies, with practical exercises carried out using JBOSS.

DURATION:   5 Days

OBJECTIVES:   At the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

• Understand the benefits and technologies of the J2EE Platform
• Explain the features and benefits of JBOSS
• Use JBOSS to build J2EE applications
• Create web applications consisting of Servlets and JavaServerPages
• Access databases with Java DataBase Connectivity (JDBC)
• Appreciate Remote Method Invocation (RMI)
• Utilize Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI)
• Build Server-side components with Enterprise JavaBeans
• Benefit from Java Messaging Service(JMS) and JavaMail
• Manage Distributed Transactions
• Maintain Enterprise Application Security
