Microsoft SQL Server Advanced Programming Techniques

SUMMARY:   The Microsoft SQL Server Advanced Programming Techniques class will teach students methods to utilize in order to write highly efficient and effective stored procedures, batches, transactions, cursors, and ad hoc queries. Participants will be shown how to properly code functions, joins, subqueries, Case statements, and grouping facilities. Additionally, students will learn the structure of locking, search arguments, optimizations, and stored procedure compilations.

AUDIENCE:   This course is recommended for Microsoft SQL Server Application Programmers who require an in depth knowledge of advanced programming techniques.

PREREQUISITES:   Students should have an understanding of the facilities of the Microsoft SQL Server Relational Database Management System. Students should also have attended the Introduction to Microsoft SQL Server and Transact_SQL facilities class.

DURATION:   This class is presented in four days.

OBJECTIVES:   Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to code advanced techniques of the Microsoft SQL Server with relative ease and understanding. Students will understand the most advantage method of coding to be performed in various situations.
