| SUMMARY: |
This course will introduce students to the creation, security, and maintenance of objects in an Oracle database. In addition the course will provide an understanding of SQL performance issues. |
| AUDIENCE: |
Programmers and support staff who need to gain a comprehensive understanding of how to perform the more advanced tasks in SQL, while developing and maintaining an Oracle Database. |
| PREREQUISITES: |
Students should have a good basic understanding of Oracle SQL and Oracle SQL*Plus.Previous attendance of our course Oracle10g SQL and SQL*Plus Part One is highly recommended. |
| DURATION: |
2 Days.
This course can be combined with PL/SQL Part One to run at 5 Days.
It Can also be combined with SQL Part One to run at 5 Days, though that may be a little intensive for students new to SQL. |
| APPROACH: |
The course is highly interactive. Consisting of instructor led, modular chapters containing plenty of hands on, practical workshop sessions. |
| OBJECTIVES: |
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to utilize the SQL language to create and populate new objects, establish security for those objects as well as understand the performance of the SQL itself in respect of retrieving data. |
