Six Sigma Yellow Belt




SUMMARY:   This two day course provides an overview of the Six Sigma “DMAIC” phases. Attendees learn valuable information from each DMAIC phases that can be used in Six Sigma projects in their organizations to reduce process variation and/or costs.

AUDIENCE:   This course is intended for individuals that are new to Six Sigma methodology and are actively involved in Six Sigma projects.

DURATION:   2 days.

APPROACH:   Participative lecture and case study based group work.

OBJECTIVES:  
  • Develop familiarity with the language of Six Sigma
  • Gain exposure to and practice some Six Sigma tools in the context of a real business case
  • Determine what types of projects are candidates for improvement using Six Sigma methodology
  • Identify potential projects that are candidates for the DMAIC or DFSS methods
  • Practice techniques to ensure project success
  • Develop practical Six Sigma knowledge based on application of DMAIC and DFSS to a case study
