Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 is the latest application from Microsoft to provide Web services for the Internet and for Intranets. It is provided as part of the suite of services provided in Windows 2003 Server and has developed rapidly since version 1.0, with new features and scaling to new levels of performance. It provides scalability and many major components for security, manageability, reliability and performance. |
| AUDIENCE: |
The course will be suitable for those responsible for those responsible for managing, maintaining and securing an organization’s Web Servers and Services using IIS 6.0. |
| PREREQUISITES: |
Those attending should have a good knowledge of Windows 2003 Server Administration and Security and have an appreciation of the construction and workings of Web Sites, Email, FTP servers and IP protocols. |
| APPROACH: |
Much of the information will be presented as Short Seminars which will be reinforced where possible by Practical Hands-On Sessions. There will a strong bias towards securing IIS and its ancillary services. |
