| History: | Jeff Jones has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years and has experience in software development, systems analysis and design, process and data modelling and project management. Jeff started his career as a software developer, working for the Royal Air Force. After a number of years in development, then analysis and design, Jeff moved into project management, finally becoming the project manager of a series of multi-million pound operational IT projects. After leaving the RAF, Jeff worked as a consultant for Learmonth and Burchett Management Systems (LBMS) specialising in development methods, modelling and project management. During this time, Jeff worked in the US, UK and Far East, presenting training courses and providing consultancy. Eventually, Jeff specialised in data modelling and database design, including modelling for data warehouses, and provided training and consultancy in these areas including CASE tools and other supporting software. This period in his career included consultancy to a number of major clients on data analysis, data modelling, dimensional modelling and the use of tools in support. Currently, Jeff is an independent consultant and provides training and consultancy in project management and all aspects of data analysis, modelling and design. Just to keep life interesting, Jeff also presents courses on the testing of Web sites and applications including performance and security. |
