| History: | Alan provides training to programmers, Web developers and designers, project managers and network administrators. In addition to training IT professionals, Alan has taught CEOs, administrative and non-technical staff in the extensive use of Microsoft Office and other end-user products. He has conducted more than 2,500 workshops over the past 25 years. He is an expert trainer in Web development technologies (XML, JavaScript, HTML, DreamWeaver, Flash, Frontpage, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. He teaches three levels of classes – including beginner, intermediate and advanced. In addition, he teaches Excel Macros and VBA, and some Access VBA. Alan also teaches Windows 2000 networking classes including server administration and installation and active directory. Mr. Mason has provided training services over the years to major U.S. companies including long-standing relationships with Wal-Mart, Merrill Lynch, Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI), Bell Atlantic, Bayer, Wal-Mart, ABC, Thomas J. Lipton, Inc., The Federal Reserve Bank, Lever Bros., Prudential Securities, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Chase Manhattan Bank, Prudential Insurance, IBM, Ogilvy and Mather, Salomon Smith Barney, Verizon, Lehman Brothers, Southwest Bell, Pacific Bell and many other clients in New York City, Albany, Texas, California, Boston, etc. He also has international experience, teaching courses and developing programs in Brazil, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela. Alan authored and developed a training video and workbook for MicroVideo Systems titled “Introduction to Lotus Notes.” He also wrote three training manuals marketed by On-line Consulting. Alan has worked on many major training initiatives for Merrill Lynch including teaching top 100 executives and their administrators Microsoft Office skills, the development of the Merrill Lynch Scorecard, Global Continuity Planning training program and their Rational Software project. These projects required requirements analysis, development of training materials, materials for classroom use and the actual delivery of training. Mr. Mason holds an MBA from Long Island University. |
