| History: | Peter is an experienced middleware consultant operating in the Internet arena. Peter has nearly 20 years of UNIX support experience and more than 9 years of middleware consultancy.
Peter’s technical strengths include WebSphere consulting, implementation, support, porting, workload management and performance tuning. His experience also allows him to both write and present effective technical training courses. Other common implementation experience includes web server setup, including complex secure sockets layer (SSL) configuration on IBM HTTP Server (Apache based) and links into IBM MQ Series and Java programs using WebSphere MQ and WebSphere MQ Integrator.
Peter has implemented horizontal and vertical scaling of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 4 Advanced Edition and WAS 5 Network Deployment edition in workload managed clusters. This has included creation of server groups, clusters, cells and clones (What used to be called models and clones).
Peter has also implemented WAS 4.0 with DB2 7.1 on SuSE Lunix 7, WAS 4.0 and 3.5 with Oracle 8 and DB2 UDB 6 respectively on HP-UX 11 and WAS 4.0 and 3.5 with DB2 UDB 7 and 6 respectively on Windows NT4 and Windows 2000. Since helping with some of those implementations, Peter has been asked back to help migrate to more recent versions.
Peter has written, presented and continues to present a WebSphere version 5 administration course of four days duration with much of the content based upon his considerable experience. |
