Huw has over twenty five years wide ranging experience, of the IBM mainframe environment, gained in a wide range of roles including system programmer, system engineer, technical instructor and technical manager.
His technical expertise covers all aspects of installation, customisation, exploitation and debugging of the MVS, OS/390 and now z/OS platforms.
He is particularly adept at delivering focused customised training packages designed to ensure that clients exploit their systems to the full. Huw teaches across the whole of the MVS curriculum from the introductory level classes through to the most technically advanced customisation, diagnostic and debugging classes.
Huw was project manager and lead deliverer for the roll out of a major project developing a new generation of System Programmers for ‘one of the top 5’ US banks. Some 75 attendees were trained in three annual iterations of the project. The first iteration was a traditional Instructor Led Training program – by the third iteration he had transformed the program to exploit the latest blend of ILT, CBT and web broadcast based delivery techniques and include integrated evaluation of delegates.
Verhoef “Virtual Classroom” was successfully implemented in 2007. Huw was a key player in this project working closely with our major clients and understanding their needs.
In April 2007 Huw was appointed Vice President Sales, Marketing and Delivery of “Verhoef in Europe” to develop the Verhoef portfolio of training services across the continental Europe.
Based in the United Kingdom, Huw holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Computer Science from the University of Wales.
