| History: | Chris has over 30 years experience of the IBM mainframe environment, having gained an extensive technical knowledge whilst performing a variety of job roles for several major companies including ICI, On-Line Software International, and Amdahl.
His major area of expertise is with the DB2 Relational Database Management System, having worked with it from Version 1.2. Chris is fully conversant with all aspects of DB2 running on the mainframe, including installation and operation, database design and administration, application programming, and performance and tuning issues. Chris also has a general understanding of many of the third party vendor products that work in conjunction with DB2 having previously worked for a third-party software vendor.
Chris has written and run courses to train others in the use of DB2 and related issues in the UK, Europe, United States and South Africa. These courses have been for many companies and training organisations, and have ranged from general introductory level through to in-depth, specialised and fully customised offerings. |
