This course covers intermediate and advanced topics such as error handling, debugging, regular expressions, advanced modularization techniques and advanced object manipulation. Learn to work with the data stored in databases, create graphical dialog boxes, define custom formatting views and type extensions, work with XML-based data, and much more. Includes a complete half-day, hands-on practical where you’ll use PowerShell to create a complex administrative utility from scratch. |

Administrators and developers wishing to learn how to make the most of Microsoft’s new administration tool set. |
| PREREQUISITES: |
Delegates must have completed our Windows Power Shell foundation course, and have some practical experience using Power Shell on the job. Some experience with other scripting tools such as VBScript or PERL is helpful but not essential. Delegates must also have a good technical appreciation of the latest Windows Operating Systems. |
| OBJECTIVES: |

- Regular Expressions
- Advanced Modularization – Filtering Functions and Custom Objects
- Saving and Exporting Objects
Day 2:
- Working with Databases
- Custom Format Views
- Custom Type Extensions
- Introduction to Windows Forms
- Working with Windows Forms
Day 3:
- Working with XML Data
- Retrieving data from the Web
- Advanced Techniques
- Advanced PowerShell Practical
This is a half-day exercise in building a complete PowerShell application from scratch
